I first got started in real estate by investing in single family houses and doing 'fix and flips.' I was in search of creating that passive income you always hear people talk about.
Good news is that I was right! Real estate can be the closest thing to true, passive income. Bad news was that I chose to invest in single family houses and not large, commercial apartment assets.
I was the one doing the repairs when something broke. I was the one repainting the walls on a Saturday morning after a tenant moved out. I was the one taking a vacation day from my W2 job when I had to go to eviction court.
